A devastating plane crash over the weekend claimed the lives of 179 passengers and crew members. According to the country’s Transport Ministry, air traffic controllers had alerted the crew about a bird strike shortly before the aircraft attempted an emergency landing.
Reports from News1 Agency suggest that one passenger sent a text message to a family member moments before the crash, mentioning a bird strike near the plane’s wing.

Eyewitness footage captured the aircraft skidding uncontrollably across the runway, eventually crashing into a wall and erupting into flames.

Tragically, all passengers and four crew members lost their lives, with only two crew members at the rear of the plane surviving the incident.
