Jay-Z has been accused of drugging and assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a newly amended lawsuit tied to rapper Diddy, according to NBC News. The anonymous plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, alleges that the incident took place at an after-party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
The lawsuit originally filed against Diddy in October claimed the music mogul, along with an unnamed celebrity, assaulted the plaintiff while a woman watched. In an updated filing, the plaintiff has named Jay-Z as the second individual involved.
Jay-Z has denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit a “blackmail attempt.” In a statement, he said, “I am determined to expose [the accuser] for the fraud [they] are.”
He also expressed concern about the impact the claims could have on his family, stating, “It’s heartbreaking that my children will have to face such cruel and baseless accusations.”
The lawsuit comes as Diddy faces mounting legal challenges, including racketeering and sex trafficking charges filed earlier this year. He has denied all allegations against him.
