Popular Jamaican vlogger Cushane Carter, known as "CMR," has had the sexual assault charges against him dismissed in Orange County, Florida.
Carter, 35, was arrested on November 2, 2024, on accusations of lewd and lascivious molestation involving a minor. He was released two days later after posting a $7,500 bond.
The case was dismissed on December 30, 2024, after prosecutors determined there was insufficient evidence to proceed. The decision was signed by Assistant State Attorney Christopher Damian Ryan.
The allegations were linked to an incident involving CMR's 13-year-old stepdaughter. Reports indicated the minor disclosed the alleged incident to someone at school, which led to police involvement. She reportedly refrained from sharing the details earlier, expressing concern for CMR and describing him as a good person.
Carter denied the allegations from the start, and the dismissal marks the conclusion of the legal process.
