Judge Rules on Raid of Diddy's Jail Cell, Orders Destruction of Seized Notes

A federal judge has sided with Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense team after a controversial raid on the rapper's jail cell at MDC Brooklyn.

The raid, which prosecutors argued was necessary due to alleged attempts by Diddy to influence witnesses and jurors, resulted in the seizure of 19 pages of legal notes.

During a Tuesday hearing, Judge Arun Subramanian ruled that prosecutors must destroy all copies of the notes and refrain from consulting them until a decision is made on whether the materials are admissible.

The judge's order follows claims by Diddy's lawyers that the raid violated attorney-client privilege and infringed on the music mogul's rights.

Prosecutors defended the raid, asserting that much of the material seized was personal, not legal. However, the defense argued the search was unlawful, escalating tensions in what is shaping up to be a lengthy legal battle.

Diddy, who was arrested in September on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and facilitating prostitution, has pleaded not guilty. Despite two failed bail attempts, a third hearing is scheduled for November 22.

His trial is set to begin on May 5, but he is also facing several civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and trafficking, all of which he has denied.
