A fatal encounter occurred in Assam's Morigaon district when a rhinoceros escaped from Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary and charged at a man, resulting in his death.

The terrifying scene was captured on video, showing the massive rhino spotting Saddam Hussain, a motorcyclist, and charging at him.
Hussain attempted to flee on foot into a nearby field, but the rhino, capable of running up to 34 miles per hour, quickly caught up with him.
Despite the efforts of onlookers who tried to scare the animal away, the rhino fatally injured Hussain with a devastating head injury.

Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is home to one of the largest populations of one-horned rhinos in India, and authorities are now investigating how the rhino managed to escape.
