A 10-year-old girl from Shreveport, Louisiana, was safely rescued after disappearing into the woods, thanks to a thermal imaging drone. Peyton Saintignan went missing around 10 PM on September 14 after sleepwalking into the nearby forest.

Search teams spent over 24 hours looking for her before a drone, provided by Drone Management Services, located her.

A thermal drone image shows a young girl curled up on the forest floor, lying on her side, appearing to be asleep. She is surrounded by foliage and vegetation.

Using thermal technology, the drone detected Peyton curled up on the forest floor, appearing to be asleep. The drone relayed her location to rescuers, who found her about 300 yards from where she was last seen on a trail camera.

Law enforcement and several agencies were involved, but the drone played a crucial role in locating Peyton quickly and safely.

A trail camera captures a young girl, wearing a blue and green dress, walking in a grassy area near a wooded forest. She is facing away from the camera.

The drone company, based in Arkansas, stepped in to help after hearing about the missing girl through a family connection, showcasing the life-saving potential of modern technology.
