In an incident captured on CCTV, a seven-month-old baby in Philadelphia has miraculously survived after being shot and left alone. The baby is now in stable condition, despite the harrowing ordeal.

The incident occurred in the Holmesburg neighborhood on Thursday. A couple was out for a stroll with their baby when a woman approached and began shooting at them. Tragically, it was the baby who was struck by a bullet in the leg.

The CCTV footage, which is difficult to watch, shows the father immediately fleeing upon hearing the gunshots, leaving the mother and baby behind. The shooter then walked past the mother and baby, and when the mother screamed, "My baby," the shooter turned back and fired another shot at point-blank range, saying, "F*** your baby, b***h," before walking away.

The footage does not show the mother also fleeing, but she did leave the baby behind. The baby was found alone when the police arrived at the scene.

It is unclear why both parents fled so quickly, but it is possible they panicked. The police later found them an hour after the incident, and both were unharmed. Philadelphia police have stated that the shooting followed an argument between the parties involved, but they are unsure of the details or if the individuals knew each other beforehand.
