On Tuesday morning, St. Andrew witnessed a severe multi-vehicle accident resulting in one fatality and twenty-one injuries. The accident involved a water truck and a Toyota Coaster bus that was headed into Kingston.
The police report indicates that the Coaster bus, traveling at high speed, collided with the rear of the water truck. The incident has raised concerns about road safety and speed regulations on busy routes.

TVJ provided a report just after 10 AM, stating that the accident had occurred "a short while ago." However, other news sources have pinpointed the time of the accident to be between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. The collision took place along Washington Boulevard, in the vicinity of the Duhaney Park and Cooreville Gardens communities.
Emergency services were quick to respond to the scene, with many of the injured being rushed to nearby hospitals. Reports indicate that several victims are nursing serious injuries, and the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The community mourns the loss of life and hopes for the swift recovery of the injured.
