A terrifying incident unfolded on a Texas road recently when two cyclists were knocked off their bikes and run over by a car. The entire episode, captured on video, highlights the dangers cyclists face on the road.
The footage, recorded on Monday, shows the cyclists pedaling in the right lane near the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Without warning, a white SUV approaches from behind and slams into them, sending them flying off their bikes.
The impact is severe: one cyclist is immediately thrown to the ground, while the other manages to stay upright for a moment before also being knocked down and run over. The SUV briefly stops, then speeds up again, running over one of the fallen cyclists. The vehicle's tires appear to roll directly over the cyclist's back and legs, creating a heart-stopping moment.
Despite the brutal nature of the incident, there was a positive outcome. Good Samaritans quickly reacted, chasing down the SUV and detaining the driver until the police arrived. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspected hit-and-run driver was arrested and taken away in handcuffs.
