Singer and rapper Sean Kingston has been officially booked into the Broward County jail following a raid on his South Florida home. The raid, which took place over a week ago, has led to serious charges against both Kingston and his mother. They stand accused of defrauding various companies and individuals of more than a million dollars in goods and services.
Kingston's arrest initially occurred on May 23 at Fort Irwin. After his arrest, he agreed to be extradited to Florida to face the charges. His mother, Janice, was also taken into custody on the same day during the raid on her son's rental home.

The charges against Kingston are extensive. He is accused of orchestrating an organized scheme to defraud multiple companies, grand theft, identity theft, fraud, and other related crimes. The allegations involve a jeweler, an exotic car dealer, and several other businesses, painting a broad picture of alleged criminal activity.
Their lawyer, Robert Rosenblatt, remains optimistic despite the serious nature of the charges. He expressed confidence in achieving a "successful resolution" to the case. Meanwhile, Kingston took to Instagram Stories to address his fans and followers, stating, "People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother! My lawyers are handling everything as we speak."
This isn't Kingston's first brush with the law. He previously served a 2-year probation sentence related to the trafficking of stolen property. His mother, too, has a criminal history. In 2006, she pled guilty to bank fraud for stealing over $160,000 and served nearly a year and a half in prison. She is currently out on bail, having posted a substantial bond to secure her release.
