The evacuation was necessary due to a medical emergency in the ride's loading station, as reported by TMZ. According to a representative from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, there were no accidents involving the coaster cars.

The ride was halted to ensure the safety of the guest experiencing the medical issue. Given the time required to address the situation, riders had to be evacuated from the coaster.

In the videos, park employees can be seen guiding the evacuation process from both the front and back of the line. Fortunately, the Giant Dipper has since resumed normal operations. For those unfamiliar with this historic attraction, the Giant Dipper is the fourth oldest roller coaster in the United States and one of the ten oldest in the world.
