In a surprising turn of events, pop superstar Justin Timberlake was arrested early Tuesday morning for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons.
The incident occurred at 12:37 a.m. when Timberlake was driving a 2025 grey BMW UT on Madison Street. Sag Harbor Village police reported that the singer ran a stop sign and swerved into a lane of oncoming traffic.
When pulled over, Timberlake exhibited signs of intoxication, including bloodshot, glassy eyes, and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. His speech was slow, he was unsteady on his feet, and he failed a field sobriety test, as detailed in the criminal complaint.
Despite claiming he had only consumed one drink, Timberlake was found to be driving under the influence. He was detained overnight and released on his own recognizance the following morning. The 43-year-old singer is scheduled to appear virtually in Sag Harbor Village Court on July 26 to face the charges.
