Hunter Biden has been found guilty in his federal gun case, with the jury reaching a unanimous decision that he committed the crimes he was charged with. President Biden's son was convicted on all three felony counts of lying on a federal firearms application concerning his drug use. The jury, after only three hours of deliberation, found Hunter guilty.

The charges stemmed from an incident in October 2018 when Hunter filled out a form to purchase a revolver. On the form, he certified that he was not a user of or addicted to any controlled substances. Despite his not guilty plea, the trial featured notable and detailed testimony that played a crucial role in the case.

One of the key testimonies came from Hunter’s ex-girlfriend, Zoe Kestan, who took the stand last week. Kestan described Hunter's heavy drug use, recounting how he would smoke crack cocaine first thing in the morning during their time together in 2018. She testified that she saw him using drugs in September 2018, just weeks before he bought the firearm, which was a critical point for the prosecution.

As a result of the guilty verdict, Hunter Biden now faces a potential 25-year prison sentence. However, given that this is his first conviction, it is likely he will serve only a fraction of that time, if any.

There is also the possibility of a presidential pardon, but President Biden has already stated publicly that he will not intervene in his son's case.

Hunter's trial has drawn significant attention, particularly following the historic felony conviction of former President Donald Trump. Notably, like Trump, Hunter Biden didn't get to testify in his own defense during the trial.
