The rap world witnessed another day of fiery exchanges as Soulja Boy directed harsh words towards Meek Mill, following his ongoing feud with Metro Boomin. The situation escalated quickly, involving several high-profile names and igniting multiple controversies.
The drama began when Meek Mill found himself in hot water with both 50 Cent and Soulja Boy on the same day. The Philly rapper's troubles started with a heated argument with 50 Cent over his beef with Diddy’s son, King Combs. As if that wasn't enough, Meek then turned his attention to Soulja Boy, responding to a fan's comment on Twitter/X.
A fan tweeted, “Don’t grow up trying to be Soulja Boy. Boy an idiot,” to which Meek replied, “Soulja if you say you’re gonna smoke somebody and they see you and actually smoke you it’s self-defense … y'all losing touch with reality for some likes and clout insane.” Soulja Boy did not take kindly to this and quickly fired back with a controversial and crude retort, “Didn’t Diddy f**k u in the a**?”
The conflict didn’t stop there. Soulja Boy had recently ignited a beef with Metro Boomin over a decade-old tweet. The tweet from Boomin read, “My phone rings to come to the studio with Jeezy. Yours rings to send Soulja Boy a pack of beats. Sit down.”
Infuriated, Soulja Boy took to Instagram Live to demand the tweet's deletion and even accused Boomin of sacrificing his late mother. This prompted Metro Boomin's collaborator, 21 Savage, to step in and defend the music producer, making himself a target of Soulja Boy’s wrath as well.
Metro Boomin chose to rise above the fray, ignoring Soulja Boy’s rant. Instead, he focused on paying tribute to his late mother on Mother’s Day. “Happy Mother’s Day to the greatest of all time,” he wrote in one tweet, adding, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the strong Queens out there!! Especially the single ones. You are appreciated!” Boomin's mother, Leslie Wayne, was tragically killed by her husband in 2022 in an apparent murder-suicide.
Meek Mill deleted his tweet about Soulja Boy and has not responded further to the crude comment about Diddy. The Philadelphia rapper also announced that he intends to focus on his music and avoid engaging with other rappers on Twitter/X. However, some fans remain skeptical, noting that Meek has made similar pledges in the past without sticking to them for long.
