NBA YoungBoy, the renowned rapper whose legal battles have garnered significant attention, finds himself back in the spotlight once again. Following a recent court appearance on a staggering 66 charges related to a prescription drug ring, the artist, also known as Kentrell Gaulden, has been ordered back on house arrest.
During a bond hearing, where YoungBoy's legal team mounted a successful argument, contending that he posed no flight risk. Consequently, a Cache County judge set his bond at $100k and mandated his return to house arrest. This decision came as a diversion from the possibility of being sent to Baton Rouge for violating the terms of his previous house arrest.
Since then, YoungBoy has been residing in Salt Lake City, Utah, awaiting his arraignment scheduled for July 1st. Remarkably, he has spent over two years under house arrest in the same city while awaiting trial for alleged firearms offenses in Louisiana.

In recent photographs from the courtroom, NBA YoungBoy appeared in good spirits, despite the daunting legal challenges he faces. Sporting a bushy mustache and clad in a corral-colored prison jumpsuit and handcuffs.
The charges levied against him paint a troubling picture. YoungBoy stands accused of orchestrating a prescription drug fraud ring, allegedly masquerading as a doctor and utilizing real doctors' names to procure painkillers.
The drugs in question, promethazine and codeine, were acquired through fraudulent prescriptions from multiple pharmacies across Utah.

Among the litany of charges, YoungBoy faces accusations ranging from possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person to identity fraud, forgery, and possession of marijuana. These allegations cast a shadow over the artist's career and future prospects.
In response to his arrest in Utah in April, YoungBoy's legal representative issued a statement reaffirming his presumption of innocence.
The statement referenced past legal victories, including a notable gun case in California in 2022, where the rapper emerged victorious against false accusations.
