Franky Venegas of The Island Boys Arrested in Florida

Franky Venegas, known as one half of the viral hip-hop duo The Island Boys, was recently arrested in Florida on multiple driving-related charges. The tattooed TikTok star, who shares the limelight with his twin brother Alex, was detained in Fort Lauderdale on Friday and subsequently booked into the Broward County Jail.

Venegas faces three specific charges: operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, providing false identification to a law enforcement officer, and reckless driving. While the exact details of the incident have not been disclosed, according to TMZ,  inquiries have been made to law enforcement for more information.

This recent arrest is not Venegas’ first run-in with the law. In 2023, he made headlines for an incident involving his girlfriend at an Airbnb in Pompano Beach. According to police reports, Venegas allegedly slapped his girlfriend and pushed her into a pool following a dispute where she threatened to end their relationship due to his abusive behavior. She sustained injuries to her chin, legs, and arms and was treated at a local hospital. Although Venegas was initially booked on battery charges, the case was later dismissed.
