Drake Fires Back with "Family Matters" 7 Min Diss Track

Drake has dropped a scorching seven-and-a-half-minute diss track titled "Family Matters," taking aim at a slew of fellow artists including Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Future, A$AP Rocky, Rick Ross, Metro Boomin, and more. The Toronto rapper had been rumored to be preparing a fiery response to Kendrick's "Euphoria," and he certainly delivered.

The track doesn't hold back, with Drake leveling serious allegations against Kendrick Lamar, suggesting his involvement in domestic abuse and questioning his commitment to his partner. In one particularly biting verse, Drake raps, "You did her dirty all her life you tryna make peace / I heard that one of them lil kids might be Dave Free’s / They hired a crisis management team to clean up the fact that you beat up your queen / The picture you painted ain’t what it seems, Ya dead."

Speculation had been rife leading up to the release, with some anticipating a drop on Thursday at midnight. However, DJ Akademiks initially shot down these rumors, only for Kendrick to strike first with his own diss track, "6:16 In LA," released on Friday. This may have spurred Drake into action, ensuring he didn't let the opportunity pass to respond.

One point of contention among fans is Drake's decision to target multiple adversaries in one song, including Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and Future, alongside Kendrick Lamar. Some speculate this could be a strategic move by the Canadian rapper, perhaps to depict himself as outnumbered and facing off against a multitude of opponents.

Notably, Kanye West also found himself in Drake's crosshairs following Kanye's recent comments about Drake's supposed decline. Drake's response didn't mince words, as he fired back at Kanye with bars like, "Two separate albums dissing I just did a Kim to it nigga skim through it / Me and Savage had the hoes dripping wet at the shows almost had to swim to it."

As the dust settles, hip-hop fans find themselves entrenched in battle lines, with supporters of both Drake and Kendrick Lamar rallying behind their respective camps. While Drake's fans may be sounding the victory alarm, Kendrick's supporters argue he still holds the upper hand. The question on everyone's lips now is whether Drake packed enough punches in his seven-minute barrage to truly sway the tide of the ongoing feud.

One thing's for certain: this beef shows no signs of cooling down anytime soon, and fans will undoubtedly be eagerly awaiting each new diss track in this gripping saga.
